Observations on communications – A/HRC/21/47/Add.3

The Special Rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples, James Anaya, submits to the Human Rights Council the present report on specific cases he has examined concerning alleged violations of the human rights of indigenous peoples in many parts of the world.

The present report is submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 15/14. It provides observations on the cases examined by the Special Rapporteur since submitting his last report on communications to the Human Rights Council in September 2011 (A/HRC/18/35/Add.1). For each case below, the date of the original letter sent, any followup by the Special Rapporteur, and any reply or replies received by the State concerned is indicated.
