In the present report, prepared pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 51/16, the Special Rapporteur on the rights of Indigenous Peoples, José Francisco Calí Tzay, considers the situation of mobile Indigenous Peoples, addressing the challenges they face to their legal recognition, land rights and mobility, including transboundary movement, as well as the challenges caused by the impact of armed conflict, and also considers the unique situation of Indigenous Peoples living in
voluntary isolation and initial contact.
